What would be the best choice for handlebar grips?
I am building a rose / chrome / white maybe? one bike rate my friends birthday .. I want to know what would be the best color to grab the handlebars flat bar that im using .. the frame is pink, and the rest would chromium, including the fork … I was thinking of perhaps using a string of white with white handlebars? i need suggestions! shoot!
Assuming your preference is for these colors (why not be? It's like building for her), not think you could go wrong with either option. For me, I like the idea of a squeeze pink. It breaks the monotony of the handlebar and goes well with the frame. Keep in mind, it does not really have to use "catch" in the standard sense. When built bikes, I sometimes use an old trick used by professionals to save a little weight. Rather than traditional clamps, use grip tape like that used on a bike road. If triple wrap, works just as well (some say better). If it is thick stuff gel-wrap, it only takes two turns. Then you can do interesting things, like crossing the sheath or spiral gap.
